INFONAME: Guy Cecil FAMILY: Vescovo RANK: Soldati AGE: 24 SIGN: Gemini
BACKGROUNDGuy Cecil changed his name the day he was sworn in to serve the fon Fabre family. It was tradition, among his own family, a way of showing literally that they'd cast off all ties to their own blood. There are rumors that Guy's true family name runs back almost as far as the Vescovos, though it's long since become diluted, impossibly distorted by years of servitude. Coming of age now means casting off the name entirely, and when Guy reached the age of fifteen, he was sworn to protect fon Fabre's elder twin, the dark horse for inheritance, Asch.
Of course it was evident from the beginning that Asch would never inherit his parents' legacy. For one, the encroaching Monacello family made it impossible to tell whether there'd be a legacy at all. Then, there was the matter of Asch himself, trained to be a soldier and not a boy, leaving him thwarted by way of emotional expression. Left with what he had, the young Asch became explosive, prone to fits of anger as easily as hours of sullen silence. He was hardly a candidate for leadership, being far too volatile, and possessing none of the calm, levelheaded rationality required in a head of the family.
Where some might have balked at the idea of coaching such a moody child, Guy merely learned to read his master's face and body language as best he could, and on a good day, helped avert the worst of the storm. To this day, the only man known to have successfully talked Asch down is Guy.
Whether or not Guy possesses those skills because of time spent at the house with Luke, the favored twin, is a matter best left up to speculation.
Even after the dissolution of the fon Fabres at the hands of the Monacellos, Guy sticks to Asch like a shadow, council and counselor both, and a deadly shot if he has to be. There is some mystery surrounding the fate of Luke, the other twin, but Guy has put that out of his mind. His own loyalty has always concerned Asch, and Asch alone. While offering a cool head, and the occasional command when it seems as though his charge will run out of control, there is no doubt who gives the orders, and who follows them.
